Jah Kimbuteh with his Roots and Culture band

Tanzanian born Rastaman and reggae super star Jah Kimbuteh has founded his "Roots and Culture Band" in the year 1983.Jah Kimbuteh is first major Tanzania reggae super star.

Jah Kimbuteh successfully blends Afro beats with reggae and traditional melodies into fresh potpourri of hypnotizing sounds that breathe new life on the music scene with a universal theme.

He has written many songs that represent popular outcry from different races in different nations. His multinational outlook makes him a unique singer.

Reggae fans currently enjoying his album titled "TRUE DEMOCRASY" that was launched in Dar-es-salaam, a Tanzanian city that never sleeps. He also released another album named "I am the Lion".

All these albums concentrate on social political/issues.

Jah Kimbuteh tries to reach and educate the mass through reggae music. He has toured many countries in the world. This makes him one of the most exposed musicians from Tanzania, and East Africa.

He will soon start a world tour. Be part of it.
